What makes Osmia bicolor special ?

Once she has mated she then goes and finds an old snail shell in which stocks with pollen then lays an egg . This is then sealed up and she does the same again until the shell is full. After she flies off to find bits of old grass stems or twigs which she carries back to hide the shell. She then starts the process over again.
